For those of you who have read my recent blog post in which I asked you to deconstruct a certain photo, well here’s the solution. It wasn’t even a really fancy setup, but the outcome was quite fancy in fact. Keep in mind that the theme for this photo was the other side. That made me think about mirrors instantly, within a day or so I had thought about a ton of different things I could do with mirrors, but I wanted more. That’s when I thought about the other side of a camera, the side that you usually don’t see. After those two ideas had been on my mind for a little while, I figured out how to combine the two. Now that the majority of the school related stress is gone (there’s some more to come in the coming weeks, but it’s nice and easy at the moment), I was finally able to hang out with my buddy
For those who have been paying attention to my website and blog, it won’t be a surprise that I’m into photography. Though, not only photography, but also video attracts my attention. On the 31st of December I asked y’all which of my photos of 2012 was the best. Unfortunately there’s not one winner, but there’s two. I like both shots equally, I don’t know which one I prefer. They’re very different so it’s hard to compare anyway.
Christmas is behind us, the turkeys have been eaten, the presents unwrapped and the trees been looked at. Now is the time to get all the ornaments and lights and whatnot out of those trees and eventually get rid of the tree itself. Put the tree alongside the road so the garbage men will pick it up? That’s one option. I prefer another option.
Hey there folks, the end of 2012 is only a few days away. The perfect moment to have a look at the photos that I took this year so we can set goals for next year.
As you may or may not know I took part in an exchange program with a school in the Bronx, NY. As described in this blog post, ten American students visited Amsterdam last April. Ten students from our school – I was one of them – gave them a place to stay, showed them around town and of course had a great deal of fun with them.
